RICHARD C. PRESTON, CPA

Richard C. Preston brings more than 30 years of valued experience and achievement to Gerson, Preston, Robinson & Company.

Mr. Preston joined the firm and embarked on his career concentrating in the areas of taxation, accounting and auditing after receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey in 1970. Mr. Preston's extraordinary leadership potential was recognized from the beginning and he became a name partner in 1976. He spearheaded the firm's expansion in the areas of real estate development, healthcare, retail and aviation. Mr. Preston also counseled numerous clients through the strategic planning of investments in coordination with their tax objectives.

Mr. Preston continues to focus on the areas of taxation, accounting and auditing in healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and retail. His responsibilities encompass compilation and review engagements, assisting clients with budgeting tax planning and forecasting as well as structuring complex mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Preston works closely with Gary Gerson in managing the firm's operations and is responsible for hiring professional staff, monitoring professional quality control, client development and troubleshooting.

Mr. Preston actively participates in charitable and civic organizations including the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation. He is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife, Jill, have two children.
