OF GOVERNOR JEB BUSH'S SECOND TERM

Robinson Will Manage Finance Activity For Governor Jeb Bush's Inauguration

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — December 10, 2002 — James P. Robinson, name partner with the accounting firm Gerson, Preston, Robinson & Company, P.A., has been selected inaugural committee treasurer for Jeb Bush's inauguration in 2003. Bush made his selection one week after the general election on November 5 by filing the papers registering Robinson as his inaugural committee treasurer.

Robinson, Governor Bush's personal accountant since 1981, was Bush's campaign treasurer during his successful re-election campaign. Robinson also served as campaign treasurer and inaugural committee treasurer for Bush's first term as governor.

"I am honored that the Governor chose me to be his inaugural committee treasurer again," said Robinson. "Jeb has been a loyal friend and client over many years."

By law, the committee treasurer must keep detailed accounts of all contributions received and all expenditures made directly in support of the inaugural event. The treasurer of the inaugural committee is required to maintain the same information as required of a campaign treasurer.

The 2003 Florida inaugural committee celebration will be held January 5th through January 7th, 2003. The weekend events will include a barbecue, ball & gala, prayer breakfast, swearing in ceremony, governor's mansion open house, and inaugural carnival.

Robinson has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting, primarily business valuations, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, government, not-for-profit organizations and financial institutions. He earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1969 and earned a CPA certificate from the state of New York in 1973. Robinson who received a reciprocal Florida CPA certificate in 1981 and then in 1998, was among the first group to earn the designation of "Accredited in Business Valuations" (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Robinson is a member of the AICPA, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
